Dear Doctor Packets

Communicate with your doctor or midwife about your exercise plans after delivery.  Print the packet below that best fits your circumstances, pack it in your bag, and show it to your doctor or midwife to start exercising right as soon as possible.

For your overnight bag

If you haven’t been placed on bed rest, and you’re not carrying multiples, print this packet for your doctor or midwife and take it with you to the hospital for delivery day!

If you are on bed rest or carrying multiples

For your postpartum plan, print this packet for your doctor or midwife and take it with you to the hospital on delivery day!

If you had a C-section

Print this packet for your doctor or midwife and take it with you to the hospital for delivery day!  If your C-section wasn’t planned, bring it along for your 1-2 week checkup.

If you had a vaginal delivery

If you had a vaginal delivery but didn’t bring a packet with you in your overnight bag, print this packet out and show it to your doctor or email it to your clinic.

If you are on bed rest now

Your doctor may allow you to do some exercises.  Show this packet to your doctor for her to use as a checklist.  She’ll choose the exercises that are safe for you to do.
