Each packet contains a note for your physician or midwife, the first 6 weeks of your exercise progression (the first 12 weeks for those who had a C-section, were on bed rest, or had multiples), and a walking progression. Your physician or midwife can use the packet as a checklist to omit certain exercises or approve all of them.
HOSPITAL BAG PACKET |
Pack this one in your hospital bag if you think you’re probably having a vaginal delivery (of one baby, not multiples) and you weren’t on bed rest. After you have your baby, give it to your physician or midwife. This packet also includes the C-section progression (just in case) and the bed rest/multiples progression (in case you have any special considerations that will mean a little more easing in to exercise). |
C-SECTION PACKET |
If you have a planned C-section on your schedule, bring this packet with you to the hospital or show this packet to your physician after delivery. If you had a C-section already and would like to start exercising in the first 6 weeks after delivery, show this packet to your physician at your 1-2 week checkup. |
